How to order

How do I place an order?

Head to the Order page, fill in your details and tell me what you're looking for. Once I receive your order, I'll get back to you within 24 hours to discuss your piece, confirm pricing and take things from there.

Can I send a reference photo?

Absolutely — in fact it really helps! After submitting your order form, just drop your reference or inspiration photo directly in our WhatsApp chat and I'll factor it into your design.

Do you cater for all body types?

Yes, always. Luu Onsela is made for women of all shapes and sizes. Every piece is made to your exact measurements — no standard sizing, no compromises.

Consultations

What is a consultation for?

A consultation is where we sit down and bring your vision to life before anything is made. We'll talk through the garment style, fabric choices, fit, colour and timeline so we're on the same page from the start.

Do I need a consultation before ordering?

A consultation is not required to place an order, but it is recommended — especially for matric gowns, traditional wear and formal pieces where fit and detail really matter.

Where do consultations happen?

Consultations can be held at my place in Midrand or I can come to you. If I travel to your location, a transport fee will apply — the amount will be confirmed based on your address.

What happens after a consultation?

Once we've aligned on your piece and pricing, you pay your 50% deposit and I get started on your garment. You'll receive a fitting booking once your piece is ready.

Payments & deposits

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order and get started. The remaining 50% is due on collection of your finished piece.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept EFT (direct bank transfer). Payment details will be shared once your order is confirmed.

Is the deposit refundable?

Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun on your garment. If you need to make changes to your order, please reach out as early as possible so we can discuss options.

Turnaround times

How long does it take to make my piece?

Most pieces take 2 to 3 weeks from deposit confirmation to completion. More complex garments may take slightly longer — this will always be discussed upfront.

Can I request a rush order?

Rush orders may be possible depending on my current schedule. Please mention your event date when placing your order and I will let you know if it's doable.

When should I place my order?

To be safe, place your order at least 4 weeks before your event. This allows time for your consultation, production and any fitting adjustments if needed.
